Hi there folks! I hope you are all good and well today. In this article I have decided to give you a run through on how I Get Ready in the morning. How I gear myself to go out and face the world. A run down on my usual ritual or routine of getting ready every day.
How I get Ready in the Morning
So, I know that everyone has their own little ways of doing things, getting ready in the morning being amongst them. I don’t profess to know the best way for any one person to get ready in the morning. But this is just a little run through of my own personal method. So, Here’s how I like to get ready in the morning.
Why Get Ready? But everyone is different. But feel free to take anything aboard that you may find useful to your own day to day routine.
Well, this question my sound like a No Brainer. yet, i think that every one of us, whether we choose to admit it or not, are sometimes finding ourselves asking that exact question.
Especially when we are feeling down or depressed and don’t have anything pressing that we need to be out the dor quickly for, it can be all to easy to just want to lounge around.
When you work at home on you own schedule, this can often prove to be challenging. You need to be strict enough on yourself. To make sure that you get the work done that you planned on getting done.
But I find that when I get up and start getting ready, I automatically feel better about myself straight away and the more i get ready, the more motivated i get showing that being up and ready is very healthy for you and your mind.
Splish Splash
So, like us all, when i wake up in the morning, I like to get myself feeling fresh and awake. So before I do anything else, I like to make my way to the bathroom, tie my hair back and give my face and eyes a good splash and I often like to use a Facewash called Lacura Moisturising Face Wash.
I have been using this for some time and i quite like it. It’s everything it says on the label plus more. You only need a little bit and it has a very lacquery feel to. It does not feel at all abrasive in the slightest, but works perfect. So, I can massage into my face before washing it all off with a good rinse and splash.
Now I feel more awake. Time to put the kettle on.
Coffee Time
So, for me, this stage of the morning could well be said that this is my most sacred part of the day. It could be argued that I’m just a crabbit bastard when i haven’t had a coffee in the morning. But nonetheless, or me it is my best time for inspiration.
So, I like to spend this time, apart from just drinking coffee, to check my emails and stuff as well as go through most of my daily tasks on the Wealthy Affiliate network which is part of an Online University of Online Business that i have been an active part of since 2020.
Booting up the Mind
I have a little routine within this itself and part of that routine is that I read a few articles each morning. Then, I either leave the author some constructive feedback. Otherwise, I’ll leave them a comment which helps them get a better Google ranking on heir website.
By doing this, I can earn myself either Community Credits that I can spend on the same thing, or Cash Credits that I can actually draw an an income with , although it must be said that this is not a sustainable way to make a living from solely.
But you can certainly make enough to pay for your site subscription, therefore giving you access to the worlds largest digital marketing and affiliate marketing networks online, access to top quality Live training updated on a daily basis and all your webhosting costs (up to 10 websites) all taken care of. So something worth considering if you want to run your own website with loads of useful web tools and training but cant afford the month subscription fee. Why pay for it when you can earn your membership by helping others.
A Time of Fertility
As I find this time of the morning is the most fertile time of the ay, especially for the first 2 or 3 coffees, so i like to read these articles in audio by using the Specify Chrome Plugin.
This gives my mind some exercise as its waking up and puts into the right frame for writing as well as researching too and may of these articles that I am reviewing are very helpful in this task too as i can choose which opics i want to hear about.
So it can be a very Educational Process as well as being a great time to swe the seeds of idea that you can jot down for future research that will result in an article or video, etc.
A quick shower
Okay, so i usually like to give myself an hour, although this can be shortened hen i need to get ready quicker, to do all these tasks. Then its time to get on with getting ready, so like to get into a nice warm Shower and have a quick hose down own and Freshen up.
Although, I must admit, when I’m not in too great a hurry, I do enjoy staying in there for ages. But on a regular morning I like to keep it to 5 to 10 minutes at the top.
Getting dressed
So usually on most days, getting dressed is a pretty straight forward task as I’ve normally pre-decided by this time what I’m going to wear. Its only when I’m going anywhere special that I tend to faff around. Deciding what to wear right up til the last minute.
Shave
Well, this part of getting ready each morning is the one part that i really don’t look forward to. Yet probably one of the best feelings of gender euphoria whilst getting ready.
When i was a boy, I really hated shaving and very seldom ever had a wet shave. This was probably attributed to being fair haired when i was younger. I could get away with only shaving once a month at one point. Even when i did have a shave, it would be with a pair of Clippers.
Not any of the slender electric beard trimers wit all the fancy connections. Just the proper Old Skool hair clippers with no grades on them and the lever pulling the blades tight with each other, thus giving your hair the shortest cut you could give it. A I was fair haired, it looked as though i had just been clean shaven, especially at any distance.
Moisturising
A nice little splash of Moisturiser massaged into your face straight after a nice shave helps cool down your burning asking and moisturises it.
I prefer to use the Aloe Vera Moisturiser which also help reinvigorate your skin. You don’t need an awful lot of it either. Just a little bit on the tip of your finger is enough to moisturise about a 3rd of your face.
I like to runb any remaining moisturiser around my hands, arms and down my neck. After all, it doesn’t do your skin any harm to moisturise all the skin on your body as frequently as you want.
Personally though, when moisturising my face, i like to be liberal with the amount of moisturiser i use. Your skin will absorb it all anyway.
So after a few minutes, you often feel your face getting dry again, so its good to apply a second dose, again with a liberal hand giving your face all the moisturising it wants and all the moisture it can drink.
A bit of Writing
So, now I am waiting for the moisturiser to work its magic. Another opportunity to stop for another coffee and work more on whatever article I’m working on at the time. This may take a few minutes to work its magic. But it doesn’t mean that you have to stand around waiting for it whilst doing nothing. So i like to streamline my time this way and get some work done while I’m waiting.
This is a process I will come back and forward to over the next few stages. Especially whilst waiting for concealer and foundation to dry.
Concealing That Shadow
Now, I have found, that no matter what razors i use and how smooth a shave I have and as frequently as i have one, I can never seem to get rid of that cringeworthy Shadow that i see on my face.
This is where I find “Ultimate Cover Up” Concealer to work a million wonders. I actually stumbled upon this in Home Bargains store and it was really cheap at around £1.99 for a tube. At the time of buying it, to be honest, i actually didn’t expect it to be up to much. But as soon as i tried it for the first tie, i found that it really does work well.
When applying this concealer, i like to cover my whole top lip area. I find this is where the shadow tends to shine through most. Then around my chin area which can also be where the vast majority of facial hair is.
But i also like to get it in amongst some of the contours of my face to flood them a little. This makes them stand out less. Especially at the top of my nose, the creases around the area between my mouth and nose.
Eyebrows
It is usually about now that i decide to give the lower part of my face one last massage of moisturiser while i conentrate on my eyebrows.
Now, if i’m feeling confident, i like to draw my eyelashes in completely free hand with an eye liner pencil sharpened to work finely.
However, sometimes i can find this to be a much easier way by just draw them in using a dark eye shadow and a narrow pointed brush. It doesnt have to be too fine a point, although this does help.
But as long as its the right width to draw your brows in with one steady stroke which you can gently go back over again with a bit more if you want your brows to look darker or more defined.
Once I have pplied tis, I like to give it a good 5 to 10 minutes to dry. So again, i find this can be a great opportunity to get back to what i was writin on my articles. You could just as equally well use this tie to get on with anything at all that you need to get on ith. This is just how I use my time whilst waiting as writing is what i do most often.
Foundation
So, Now that my concealer is all in place and set, I like to get the foundation on and you can see it starting to blend back in with your natural skin tone the more you apply it.
Again, like the concealer, this can take 5 to 10 minutes to dry before you can apply the rest of your makeup, so may also be another good time to crack on with what you were doing. Although, personally, I do like to get on with doing my ete shadow while I’m writing on the foundation dry.
Eye Shadow
So, while I’m waiting on the Foundation drying , I like to get on with shadowing my eyes. Having slightly hooded eyes naturally, I personally like to use lighter colours to bring out my eyes and brows.
This usually only takes me a few minutes now as i’ve been getting used to it with practice like this every morning.
Highlighter
So now I’m happy with my Eye Shadow looking good. Now, I like to touch it up a little with a little bit of highlighter. This gives it a little extra shine and helps it stand out as well as your eyeline highlighted.
This works well especially if you have hooded eyelids like mine. I like to use a brand that i picked up pretty cheap recently. Its called Olivia Hale Highlighter Pen which has a couple of different sizes of tip for whatever you need.
By now, I have done my eye shadow and highlighter. Then the foundation on the rest of my face is usually by this time dry. So I can get on with the next step, the contour. But if its still a little tacky, then I’ll spend another few minutes working on my article I’m writing.
Contour
Now, I hear a lot of women say that they don’t bother with contour a lot of the time. However, as a Male to Female Transgender woman, I find that the Contour is the key. It’s the magic behind the art of facial feminisation.
In the video below, I have tried to demonstrate how this works. To show you how the contour can be what gives your finished face the look it has.
Blusher
This is the very thing that will make or break your whole facial look. It is the magic that will reshape your whole Facial structure to look more feminine. Lessening the Masculine look that has become so distinctive with so many men.
I always find that the Blusher, although it only takes a few seconds to apply, can be the final touch. The vey thing that pulls it altogether. Like the cherry on the cake, the blusher is the final touch of feminine beauty on your face,
I like to give my face a quick bit of colour with the blusher and the brush I use for this which seems to work perfect for me.
Doing my hair
So, now almost everything is in place and contended with. The only thing to do now is to make sure my hair looking the way i feel most comfortable with it.
However, I have to say that recently, I have been going for the bangs and love my fringe. Its slightly different to my straight haired bob that i had before.
I find it works well enough both when i have it brushed down and flowing or when i have it tied back.
So after a little bit of brushing n styling Just one more thing it, I’m ready to roll.
Yep! My Lippy!
Lipstick
This is the thing that i always leave til last as I am about to walk out the door. If I don’t, then I always end up losing a great deal of it when i have a drink of coffee or juice, etc.
How Do You Do It?
So, as I was saying before, this is not by any means a comprehensive guide on how to get ready in the morning. I certainly don’t claim to be an expert in the field, at least not yet. lolz.
I would also be very interested to hear about your own ways of going about your daily “Getting Ready” routine. So, please feel free to share method in the comments section below here;
