Twompsax – Eight – Lyrics & My Own Song Review

Twompsax - eight - Song Lyrics and my own song review

Twompsax perform this great song whilst front girl Cher Strauberry does an awesome job of the Video for the song.

I hope you enjoy listening to the song and watching the video as much as I did. I think that it is short and sweet with a powerful message t convey and Cher does an amazing job here in the typical Twompsax way which I think they are very good at doing.

Enjoy!

Twompsax – Eight

Who are Twompsax?

Twompsax are a Transgender |Punk band from Oakland California and headed by Cher Strauberry on vocals with Tris on guitar, on Izzy Bass and bodyguard Ian on Drums. The band have recently just released another album ” “.

As well as becoming something of a Trans Punk Singer/ songwriter/ band front girl, Cher has also carved her own path to notoriety within the Skateboarding world and has founded her own Queer Skateboard art company – Unity, which now has a sibling company of the same name within the London Queer Skateboarding scene.

For me, discovering Cher Strauberry makes me think of Cher’s own words when she was speaking to the online magazine for skaters -Skateism, where she says “If I had been able to see a trans skater at age 13, that would have been everything to me!”

I think I’d have been the same Cher! I wish I had discovered you as a teen. But she is setting history as an icon for trans skaters and punks as well as anyone else to take inspiration from the power that emanates from this girl. Go Cher!

Fuck yeah Girl! We absolutely love you over here in Scotland, which is that tiny little place at the top of the United Kingdom…..lolz.

Twompsax are Trans Punk Icons

I think the thing I love the most abut Twompsax and especially Cher Strauberry, is that they demonstrate how you can still play in a punk band and be Transgender at the same time and her lyrics inspire and encourage Trans people t take back the right t live and be fuckin proud.

In Cher’s case, she also kicks ass at skateboarding as well and an inspiration t s many Trans Skaters around the world. She is such an awesome girl! Although she was explaining how thing’s are getting a little tougher going for her as her transiting progresses. But hell yeah, n winder. She is already like Wonder woman on a board at the best of times, so she’s doing amazing considering what she’s going through at the moment with her Transition.

All the more fuckin Inspiring!

Seriously! In case you haven’t notices, I think Cher Strauberry completely rocks and is a big inspiration to me. Even though she says some days she just feels to weak to skate but she explains that she likes to try and get ut every day regardless just to keep in practice which keeps her happy as she hasd vbeen having to learn lots f l’d moves and tricks again with her body changing so fast.

Hell yeah!

Lyrics

I can feel the pressure, closing in on my head

Wish my head would turn off!

I can feel the Pressure, growing deep in my chest

Wish my head would turn off!

I don’t wanna spend another Holiday alone

I don’t wanna sit and wait t be loved

I’m ok with being nobody’s girl!

I’m Ok t be no-one at all!

I can feel the pressure, closing in on my head

Wish my head would turn off!

I can feel the Pressure, growing deep in my chest

Wish my head would turn off!

What I love about this song

I Really love this song because it really sums up what so many of us feel like within just a few short and sweet lines, which is what Twompsax are particularly good at. If you haven’t heard of Twompsax before now, you should most definitely check them out. You can find them here and listen free.
