About a couple of years ago, I stumbled upon a website called Audible, an audiobook store. To tell the truth, it was the offer of the free audiobook you get when you sign up for the free trial that got me interested. However, I’ve been a member now for over Two years and have discovered some amazing audiobooks there over that time.
So, being as it’s an App I use quite a lot, in fact pretty much on a daily basis, that I’d take a few moments to tell you all about it. It’s certainly a site I would recommend to anyone who enjoys books full stop. But I’d especially recommend it to anyone who has difficulty reading printed books.
My Review of Audible

What is Audible
Audible is is an online Audiobook club that boasts one of the largest audiobook libraries online. It has audiobooks of all different genres and categories so that there is something for everyone. The site library also has a whole range of interesting and informative podcasts that you can browse and listen to free as a member. It currently offers a Free 30 day trial that comes with a Free Audiobook of your choice.
Who is it for
Although Audible and audiobooks are ideal for anyone who experiences difficulties with reading books, it’s a great site for pretty much everyone, regardless of their literary experience or reading ability. Personally, I have no problems reading books but I don’t always get the time to sit down somewhere quiet to read one. This is where the audiobooks are brilliant. They let me listen to the book while I doing other things online, around the home, at work or even on the bus or train.
Audible also has a very smart and easy to use app that you can put in your phone so that you can still listen to your downloaded audiobooks wherever you may be at. I love them and have found that over the past couple of years since discovering the site, I have read a lot more books than I probably would have done had they been physical paperback or hardback books. Even Kindle books require dedicated time to concentrate. Audiobooks work well any time and you can always jump back if you miss a bit.

So, if you just want a free audiobook, then all you have to do is sign up for the 30 day free trial, use your Free Credit to buy the audiobook you want, download it and you can just cancel your subscription. Any book or books that you already have will remain in your library so that you can listen to them any time you like.

Would I recommend it?
Yes. Most definitely. Even if you don’t carry on with the monthly plan, It’s still worthwhile taking the Free One Month trial for the sake of a Free Audiobook of your choice if nothing else.
